Cluster 1: Build a Mathematical Community through Real Data

In this cluster, students work to develop positive attitudes about their ability to do mathematics as they develop a strong mathematical mindset for problem solving. This cluster marries the establishment of discourse norms and mathematical routines with the concept of data so students learn the expectations for math class and also get to know their classmates as they survey one another and analyze the data.  (See About this Cluster and the Unpacking Document below for more details on this cluster.)
